I'm not wishing to be pedantic ,could you clarify do you mean boxers of Irish birth who grew up in the US? Or of Irish parentage but born in the US? It's just that we always seem to get in to wrangles, whether so and so qualifies on these type of threads .

McLarnin is Canadian otherwise he’d be in it.

    Walker
    Tunney
    McGovern
    Loughran
    Conn

Feels like the top 5 (debatable order). I’d have to think on the rest.

Anyone who was either born in Ireland and immigrated to the US or someone whose parents/grandparents/great grandparents etc. came from Ireland.

So is the story that Muhammad Ali’s great grandfather emigrated to the US from Ireland in the 1860s and settled in Kentucky, true or not?

True. He visited relatives in Ireland a few years before his passing.

Nice list. I have no quibbles. Others that might deserve consideration are Braddock, McCarty, Rinty Monaghan (sic?). There must be others but I can't think right now of any worthy of Top 10 consideration.
