    Baer wasn't Jewish, though he wore the star on the trunks because he was a quarter Jewish from his father's side. He was raised Catholic.
    Could replace the spot with Bob Pastor, one of the top three heavyweights between 1938-1942.

    Briscoe wasn't Jewish. Mike Weaver wore a star of David Pendant wasn't Jewish either. Ray Arcel who was Jewish said Baer wasnt.
