    Why so many have Ambers outside their Top10 is beyond me. Please look a bit closer into that man. Amazing carrer and a great resume at 135. Better than for example Chavez who many have in there.

    Well said.
    Lou Ambers was superb lightweight, almost certainly among the top 10.

    I tend to believe the 1930s produced the greatest lightweight era.

    Come on, Armstrong's got to be in everybody's top 5.

    For me, Gans is the GOAT at lightweight. He had it all and a resume as deep as the Grand Canyon.

    Yes, everyone has there own criteria for p4p lists like these but I will always believe that Duran had the most dominant reign at 135 and presents the most difficult h2h matchup for any other LW champion in history. He was an attack dog with gloves on.

    I don't regard him as a class above men like Whitaker head to head.

    I think it's easy to make cases for other guys to rank above Duran - namely they beat better men.

    I agree that SRL gave him fits(@WW) in the rematch but what "movers" do you speak of @135?

    true. his lightweight resume is filled with a lot of goods/very goods (dejesus) but only one possible great in buchanan. the argument for duran is longetivity, consistency, dominance in wins and h2h (which many people don't count)

    as a sidenote it's interesting to see the variety of placements for a guy like ike williams that i once thought as a top 5 lock but certainly doesn't appear to be so once you consider that leonard, gans, duran and armstrong are pretty much guaranteed spots up there
