i know i read that he respected him as a puncher, just hard for me to imagine he found him a better puncher than saddler
Aurelio Herrera is, imo, the hardest puncher of all time at featherweight and lightweight. Bar none. This content is protected
Looking at size and weight jumping ability with Kos across all those divisions. At 5feet6 Langford is p4p my number 1
Glancing at boxrec, he had a very high KO ratio. (Especially for such a light weight) But who did he ever beat?
Numero Uno is def. Julian Jackson at Jr Middle, his power was not from this planet he'd hit people with glancing blows and poleaxe them. They looked like they had been struck by lighting, going stiff and dropping like a sack of ****.
Well what i'd say to that is that Fitzsimmons was coming to the ring at a similar weight and slightly larger and doing this to heavyweights not junior middles. He was destroying heavyweights with a single punch, dudes unconcsious at his feet, scrambling around the ring unable to overcome the paralysis he's inflicted on him. His best KO's seem just as impressive only they are inflicted upon bigger men.
This and the previous lists pretty much sums it up. Dunno if anyone mentioned G-Man but that guy had some scary power too, his body shots made his opponents squirm on the ground. Benn said in regards to G-Man's power "i never knew a person could hit that hard".
As much as I'd like to say Fitzie and Langford and them it's just there's no video and it really can make a difference how you'd judge them. Also I'm pretty sure every common opponent of Fitz and Choynski said that Choynski hit harder and he was even smaller! Makes you wonder how freakish these guys power might've been. Same with Barbados Joe Walcott pretty sure he even KO'd a Heavy while he was a Welter
There is video. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wHKsP0GDErA[/ame] This is Fitz knocking out a fighter with proven durability of the highest class, a man who has never been stopped who is also the reigning HW champion of the world. Fitz's recorded weight was 167lbs. He may have weighed more. As astonishing as this is, it may not be Fitz's greatest KO.
