I'm glad someone else put it so bluntly. @Jel was too polite and tip-toed around it, bless him.

I love how he's ranting and raving ridiculous, inarguable views (over an article, not a post; I might add) and even when the vast majority tell him to have a word he still remains adamant HE'S the one in the right.

Talk about a superiority complex! Borders on Perry levels.

I think ,aggaravating as he was, Perry had a bit more going for him,It was just that "I lived through those times," that got up my nose a bit. he used to imply he was an insider,"Ive been around gyms for years",etc I once asked him in what capacity ? He never replied.

I know this! But thank that you show you are aware of this too...

But the point, which you totally missed is, he is greater and has a much higher achievement than Cocoa, who was harly elite (rathe ra fringe contender).

Jup I do, but he is a legend and Cocoa on the other hand is not an all time great.

Roberto Duran is a legend in a way that Juan Manuel Lopez clearly is not. You see? I can connect two completely unrelated things as well!

Zivic was a welterweight and in Middleweight just a trail-horse. The others were clearly faded/ not at their best and he has probably more defeats against high class opponents than wins. Papp has a lot better match-rate against these.

Well but Lopez was it in a way Cocoa never was; he was mainly ranked in the pound for pound top 10 and in his division long time top 3 until the first Salido fight, which was very entertaining and competitive (he was on 1 or 2 cards leading) and candidate for fight of the year.
    Cocoa was rather a gatekeeper.

It's like 'historical context' are just two words without any meaning to you, aren't they?

Cocoa Kid was a fine fighter, good enough to beat Holman Williams multiple times.
    Defeat
    Hudson
    Chase
    Wilson
    Massey
    Young Peter Jackson
    Villa x2
    Jadick
    Kaplan
    And draw with Burley
You need to do some research because every time you make such a comment here you are highlighting how ignorant you are about these guys !

Well Cocoa has just no right (claim) to be in such a list, let alone in the top 10; rather has it Lopez three times more.

And how often did he lose against these and weaker opponents?
    Fifty or sixty times?
And most of them were no elite as well (only Williams and Burley, which were at their best in Middleweight, years later).
