Saw this list in a English news paper, what do you guys think? 1 Joe Calzaghe 2 Ken buchanan 3 Lennox Lewis 4 John Conteh 5 Howard Winstone 6 Barry McGuigan 7 R Turpin 8 N. Benn 9 Ricky Hatton 10 L. Honeyghan
McGuigan and Calzaghe are to high, I see Lewis as a clean #1, Hatton above Honeygan? Turpin should be higher, unquestionably.
1. Lennox Lewis 2. Ken Buchanan 3. Joe Calzaghe 4. Randy Turpin 5. Lloyd Honeyghan 6. John Conteh 7. Ricky Hatton 8. Nigel Benn 9. Barry McGuigan 10. Herol Graham How anybody can have Lennox Lewis anywhere other than #1 is beyond me. They need to watch more boxing.
Eubank had the talent to be on that list, but spent too long defending a weedy world title and never fought abroad in his prime.
Yes - if you saw Graham in the late 80's, especially at 154, he was a genius. Probably the most ducked fighter since WW2, certainly from Europe anyway.
where did this list come from? I would of given lyod honeyghan a higher place than tenth, lewis should of been number 1, steve collins is a name which i would of added to that list as well
i've got graham's career set on dvd and the man most certainly had a touch of genius about him but also had the ability to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory too often.
