off the top of my head i can remember him netting eight against YAnited. but i'll leave that for the lounge.
he fought and beat benn twice easily but like i say he was done by then. he was good, not denying that but was below benn ,eubank and watson IMO.
was it 8 ? fair play. yeah leave it for the lounge, dont want saturday bringing up.whats this YAnited ?
To me its a shame to leave out the best British fighters by limiting it to post-war. These look kinda weak.
Wrong. Valid point - but could you really say that Eubank ever built on that win? Benn changed himself as a fighter and beat some top class names from all over the world.
Lewis should be above Calzaghe. Lewis fought in a much stronger division and has a much better resume.
The top 2 are correct & in that order. Eubank should always be above Benn even tho I liked Benn better, its not a popularity contest, its supposed to be who is p4p the best fighters. Naseem Hamed should make the list IMO when you look at some of those that actually made it.
As a Scotsman, I have no problem with you ranking Buchanan so highly, I also have him at no2 aswell as being easily the best ever Scottish fighter, he has a case but I thought JC was a little more talented. Lewis is not on the same level as Calzaghe in a p4p sense.
I like Calzaghe a lot, but still see him locked in the No. 3 position. On resume, you can't put him higher than Lewis - in fact, if I am honest I would say he is nowhere near. Lewis never actually looked like losing a fight - Calzaghe was sloppy against Hopkins (in patches), and shaved a close one against Robin Reid. He also spent plenty of time in the comfort zone with his WBO trinket - Lewis was abroad, in people's own backyards, unifying titles.
