Great thread, but what about Greb? Fought half his fights with one eye and against the best, AND against fighters who were not only very skilled but heavier than him. (Tunney, Gibbons, Norfolk, Dillon etc) and only "KO'd" twice in 300 fights. Not to mention he beat (according to some historians)Flowers, Dillon (multiple times) and Walker. Now we know too that there was no street fight with Greb after their 15 rounds. You gotta be some fighter to have Dempsey scared to fight you. Greb has to be no.1 (after Jack Johnson that is.)

Monzon was surely a badass..you can't be a globetrotting, 14 title defense champion for 7 years without being one, and as an honorary badass, I nominate Yori Boy Campas..just for taking it from Tito without going down, and putting that long overdue whipping on Tony Ayala.
