    I'm white darling.

My point is America has had the phrase "great white hope" in their history for years, is Pavlik their best "hope" hence the praise and credit he gets?

Joe has 10 years as champ (11/12 now really), has made X defenses, beaten many guys who has been world champ etc. at one point, unified and undisputed. He has tenure, he's proven over time, has beaten everyone he's needed to beat.

Pavlik has arguably three decent wins, 1 is very generous - Miranda.

    Thats his entire career.

That does not make you p4p top 5/10 in my book. I'm not hating, i'm being realistic.

Barrett or Maskaev apparently. Good fights for me for his 2nd bout in the heavies, name opponents who are dangerous enough for it not to be called a certainty. People on these boards have to remember that most other heavyweight contenders in the top 10 have fights lined up already, so he can't just choose a Rahman or Valuev and so on.

He comes through either of these with flying colours, which im confident he will.

After this fight I think he should face Thompson, and dispose of him better than Wlad will do on Saturday. Then the people will see exactly why Klitschko should be slightly concerned about David.

I think he beats both guys imo ..Maskaev is the more dangerous of the 2 ..But I don't think Haye would have a problem with either guy ..

How would the list change in the event of a Cotto victory or a Margarito victory?

I think you have to put Cotto at number 1 if he beats Margarito ..And it would be a strong case consdiering Manny's last opponent ..If he did beat Margs in a convincing fashion the list should look like this ..

    1.Cotto
    2.Manny
    3.Calzaghe

If Cotto was to beat Margo more impressively than Calzaghe did against Hopkins, I may move him to the #2 spot..

If Margo was to win, he could crack the top 10 and Cotto would drop somewhere close behind him.. With Vazquez and Marquez being inactive and BHop eyeing retirement, the top 10 could be some..

There is no excuse to have Calderon in the top 10, nor above Cristian Mijares in any of these lists. Mijares also is a cemented top 10, very shocked to see him lower than Guzman, Calderon and Abraham?:huh
