Off the top of my head Fedor GSP Anderson Silva BJ Penn Machida Torres Brown Henderson Faber Zaromskis
Zaromskis already? How does he even get into the top 10 170lbers with a win over Mach Sakuri and Jason High?
You're right about Zaromskis being too high there. I said off the top of my head. I hadn't really even read any other posts to have a fresh list of names in my head. Evans, Jackson, Franklin, Aoki, and probably Lesnar could be argued ahead of Zaromskis. Those guys are also off the top of my head.
My humble list. 1. Georges St. Pierre 2. Fedor Emelianenko 3. Anderson Silva 4. Miguel Torres 5. Lyoto Machida 6. Mike Thomas Brown 7. B.J Penn 8. Urijah Faber 9. Jon Fitch 10. Quentin Jackson Honourable Mentions - Dan Henderson, Rashad Evans and Thiago Alves
I'm really kind of surprised that you guys don't think Cung Le shows up anywhere these lists, we're talking all MMA right? San Shou: 17-0, 12 KO MMA: 6-0 6 KO
winning the gp ranks quite highly imo much better than beating a couple of guys unless they are ranked very highly. Also the fact that he wrecked both guys by first round ko helps.
Both Zaromskis and Cung Le are still way off my P4P list at the moment, though both are quality fighters. Cung Le in particular needs to compete more, it's been over a year since his last fight and his best win is Frank Shamrock. As for Zaromskis, the majority of top welterweights are in the UFC and he needs to fight them to start really moving up the ranks. With the DREAM-Strikeforce deal he might be able to fight Jake Shields or Nick Diaz though.
Here is my current MMA Pound4Pound list: 1. Fedor Emelianenko 2. Anderson "Spider" Silva:hat 3. George St. Pierre 4. Lyoto Machida 5. Miguel Torres 6. Cung Le 7. Jake Shields 8. Rampage Jackson 9. Urijah Faber 10. Dan Henderson ------------------- 11. Rashad Evans 12. B.J. Penn
How can you bump BJ from a P4P list for moving up and losing to your #3 P4P fighter? What would happen if St. Pierre moved up and fought Silva or Machida, or if Machida or Silva fought Fedor???? BJ Penn stays until he is beaten or at least pushed at his own weight class. :deal
Cage Rage went out of business in the fall out from the Elite XC bankruptcy. They are back in business now as Ultimate Challenge UK.
Do they have the same cockney ring announcer? (Guy at the end, not the obnoxious Steven Quadros doing PbP) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B1UwGPAq2zg Get to see Cyborg and hear that guy; great combo.
