You forgot to take into account that Boxing as a whole hade more PPV event then the UFC. The fact that the UFC sold so many big events shows a much stronger loyal following then boxing. Pac and Floyd wast it with no one else in boxing coming close to cracking the top 10.

Every honest boxing fan should feel threatened by this list. Without pac and floyd there wouldnt be any boxing PPV on the list. Boxing needs to change its structure before its too late. They need one belt per weight class, less weight classes. Champions should be forced to fight ever 4-6 months or else be stripped, if a fighter ducks another fighter then they should be stripped of their belt and fined. Only fighters in the top 5 should get title shots and have better under cards.

Boxing has been abusing their fans in the past and before there was no other option for the fans, now their is.

No, I didn't forget that at all, mainly because I didn't know that, so I couldn't have forgotten it. But it doesn't sound right, so I'll have to know your source before I believe you.

I don't think the UFC has a stronger, more loyal following than boxing at all. UFC's brand new compared to boxing, so people are still getting giddy about it, not to mention, the fans are younger on average (no source, just observation, kinda like the PPV thing), and kids show much more enthusiasm and make a lot more noise than adults, for the most part.

If all HBO and Showtime fights were PPV, boxing would have shattered that top 10. I'm broke as it is as a boxing fan. Good thing I'm not a UFC fan, I'd have to give up something like weed, or food, to watch those damn overpriced events, and I don't plan on giving up weed.

All UFC is doing is stealing WWE fans and the white demographic which is very important to their success or any sport. They have a real great marketing team and give their fighters characters. It has nothing to do with skills since there is only one or three guys that have true skills to watch. I attended UFC 118 and there were more boos than cheers. The only good fight was an undercard. The rest were garbage. UFC marketing is just great esp since they have no competition unlike boxing. Boxing has so many companies/promoters competing with each other unlike any other sport.

But trust me if you see the numbers boxing is putting up with all the circus is surrounded with and by just one main event or known name and still finishes top 10 then you know boxing is far from dead and still number 1.

Boxing in the US is in serious trouble. I'd love the people that say "there will always be stars" to explain how in the hell there will more stars after Pac and Floyd. Boxing has no significant tv deal with an ESPN, CBS, or another network to showcase it(networks like HBO and Showtime dont count). Sure guys like Devon Alexander or Juan Diaz may draw well in their hometown but outside of that how many people know them? If the UFC had a comparable fight to Bradley-Alexander it would have sold out immediately. I love boxing and I'll always be a fan but people need to wake up and realize whats happening.
