Where prospect = a guy who has never fought or signed (so no Groves, Brook, Santa Cruz, Jones or Quigg, all of whom would be in or near the top 10 otherwise) for a world title or world title eliminator: 1. Jose Benavidez Jr. (Awesome tools for such a young kid) 2. Gary Russell Jr. (perhaps the fastest hands in boxing at the moment) 3. Thomas Dulorme (love his power-speed combination, and that he's learning how to box too) 4. Javier Fortuna (Nice job of blowing out some pretty decent fighters) 5. Rakhim Chakhkiev (the best fundamental fighter at cruiser in a long time) 6. Pier Olivier Cote (still have high hopes, although injuries seem to be affecting him; also a great power-speed combo, but needs to shore up his defense big time) 7. Frankie Gomez (has struggled some early, but a solid boxer-puncher) 8. Demetrius Andrade (I hate to watch him fight, and I question his mental makeup, but he has talent and fights smart) 9. Gilberto Ramirez (I don't love his talent level, honestly, but the results have been great so far) 10. Yohei Tobe (four fights into his career and he's already beaten two former titlists) If Funtime gets his head back on straight, he shoots up back near the top of the list. When Lomachenko goes pro he's probably #1. Despite his upset loss, I still like Ismayl Sillakh a lot. I've liked Wale Omotoso for a long time too, but it seems like he's been regressing lately. Brad Solomon, Carl Frampton, Daniel Sandoval (who I've never seen, but based on his record, I'd be interested in doing so) and Tommy Oosthuizen also got some consideration. For a long-shot type, I like Teerachai Kratingdaenggym, who has awesome tools and has a chance to be the best "big" Thai fighter since Muangsurin, but who might just end up getting buried in Thailand fighting sub-par opposition for years like what happens with a lot of Thai prospects, especially since there's really slim pickings for him over there at welterweight.
Is there any point mentioning all these guys when Kell Brook is alive? Even at this point in his career, he would beat anyone in this thread, including Deontay Wilder.
