I could pick apart the order but I won't nitpick except to say Kahn is too high.

The thing that stands out to me though is that's a respectable group of talent. After the retirement of Calzaghe and the demise of Hatton a lot of people on here were saying that UK boxing was headed for a collapse of sorts.

 

This list looks better to me than the Ring list (though Moore still seems low), which makes sense - the people who put the BBC list together actually live in the UK and get to watch all the local fights. The people who put the Ring lists together are mostly Americans and only get to watch the Sky fights, if at all, on Youtube or by DVD trade and the like, so a lot of the voters are probably basing their opinions more on reputations and paper records than actually having seen the guys fight.

You might be right...... but Barker is with Mick Hennessy so don't expect him to go anywhere soon. IMO Barker could outbox Macklin with his jab, but if Macklin lands.... Barker will go, as Asikainen did.

He can't even get Carl Froch a TV deal - how lame is that? (Apparently he has accused the major broadcasters of lowballing him.... needs to realise that Froch isn't a crossover star yet as Hatton, Bruno and to a lesser extent Lewis were - and just get him on the ****ing telly!)

Most British P4P lists written by the 'experts' are absolutely awful IMO - it is merely the biggest names or those with '0's that are mentioned near the top....

Good list...wonder if Hatton and Witter will be on it next year. Last year they were 1&2

 

Haye should be top as a former Undisputed champion, who beat the man away from home. The others picked up an alphabet title.

 

Haye's inactivity means it's fair to have him 2nd (for now). If he beats Valuev he's back on top IMO regardless of the Froch-Dirrell result.
