Trinidad's opposition was nothing special outside of Oscar imo.Carr, Campas, Past it Blocker, even more washed up Whitaker among the best he fought.I'd say it was a clear step or two below someone like Cuevas who is often criticised for his opp.

 

Cuevas was at his best pre 1980....

 

It's a decent comparison though.The point was i'm not sure i'd agree with anyone saying he fought very good opposition.Most of those defences, in fact almost all of them would have fit right in with a lazy WBO guy like Eubank.

Thats fine Tbooze. The one thing I will strongly disagree with you on is "de la Hoya/Trinidad is a debatable decision, not a robbery." I think it was a complete robbery. There is no way Tito won more than 2 of the first 9 rounds making it impossible for him to have won the fight. In fact the only round I believe Tito won in the first 9 was round 4. Oscar dominated.
