I'd place Wlad above Dempsey, much more active, controlled the division over many more defenses and a much longer time.

Marciano gets it on legacy but not head to head.

Douglas was 6'3" 1/2 inches tall ( I've seen 6'4" ), with an 83" reach ( better than most super heavies with skills ), and a trim 230 pounds. So yes he could qualify as a super heavyweight, and if you watched the Tyson fight he had excellent skills that night.

Wlad checks off all the boxes. Dominant. Long reign. H2h nightmare.
Marciano h2h I don't think he would fare well in modern era but legacy wise when winning matters nobody did it better
Dempsey amazing athlete, popular champ during a popular time. Not fighting Wills hurts, had he fought and defeated him he would likely vault to top spot.
Jeffries time and his loss to Johnson has faded his luster but accomplished much with little learning curve in short brilliant career.
Tunney retired at his peak. Looks great on film just wish his stay was longer.
Schmeling owns the divisions greatest win and was not a fluke with wins over 4 hall of famers. Robbed of title in opinion of most.
Vitali h2h beast. Was winning in only 2 losses to injury and cut. Competition was lacking on resume.
Fitzsimmons p4p animal but heavyweight was not his best weight.
Corbett father of modern boxing in many ways
Quarry top contender with many quality wins in loaded era

Sharkey just misses the cut. Also interested in where ppl place Povetkin, Fulton, Pastor on lists
    Left Sullivan off the list

Povetkin is stylistically a very sound fighter, and he has quite a deep resume as well. The steroid business will always dog him, if you care about that sort of thing, as will his one sided loss to Wlad, but H2H I can see him doing very well against a lot of historically greater fighters. I rank him somewhere above Morrison and Sanders in this respect but below both Klits and Fury.

Fair assessment. I was never that high on Fury and was totally shocked he defeated wlad. i believe if Wlad still had Manny in his corner he wins that fight as Manny was able to get on him and put a fire into him. Something Banks never did. Povetkin does rank higher than Morrison for me, better chin, defense, stamina, more consistent too.

You are a moron. Ali at his best was 208-215. How is this a super heavyweight?

Douglas was 230 when he beat Tyson, a shade taller than Ali and with better reach.

Your initial point was Douglas was not a super heavyweight. There is no set definition, but I have always said 6'4" tall 230 pounds or more in shape, and a 79" or greater inch reach. If you are just under in one area, but over in another you qualify.

    yeh i bet you seen 6' 4" aint u.

why u lying? what is the purpose of it? They were of comparable weights and height.

difference between HW and SHW is now "a shade taller". Time for Madoza to log off.

YES there is no set definition. And your set of HALF AN INCH DIFFERENCE CERTAINLY DOESNT QUALIFY.

"HerolGee, yeh i bet you seen 6' 4" aint u."

    >>> Yes I have. Several times. Just one for you.

    >>> Sure Ali in shape was the same weight as Douglas. You are a clown!!! Douglas was a shade taller, had a great reach and about 15-20 pounds on Ali.

" difference between HW and SHW is now "a shade taller". Time for Madoza to log off.

    >>> If you read what I wrote, An almost on weight, height and reach is okay if exceeded in other areas in my own definition of what a super heavyweight is. I don't have much time for you.
