As mentioned previously it is very hard to rate active fighters on this list. Manny has made the biggest jump forward since I last did the list (2007), Mayweather too, has improved. I think it unlikely either will settle in the position they are in now. When they retire, it will help matters, as it will become easier to debate their legacies.
I think Bivins should be on your list, but knowing how you put your lists together (by using top tens of every weight) I can see why he is not on. I think Harada and Luis Manuel Rodriguez are definitely top 50, genuinly two of the best fighters I have ever seen.
I became fashionable (rose to peer pressure) this year and started giving serious kudos to Multi-weight title holders. Jimmy Bivins by all logic I agree should be on the list, but when I finished I still could not find a place for him.:huh I think, I am just dim.:yep
Its a nice system you have, you just have anomalies like Bivins that fall through the cracks of every list.
Sullivan was a massive influence on the game. One of the first true Worldwide Sporting Superstars. Weighing that up recently, I do not think that should go without notice. Mosley has done brilliant to make the list. I was never sold on him, I figured Merchant was just throwing him down our throats. Even during his golden period (pre Forrest), I still had my doubts, and Forrest duly confirmed them. So I figured smugly, I could write Mosley off. But Mosley has redeemed himself, he came back strong, and showed spirit to go with his ability. I love a redemption story, and so I changed my mind, he should be on that list, and I will live with eating that humble pie.
I don't agree with that, for every decent showing he has post-forrest, he has had a phone in job to match.
