    Good shout. I'll still take "Lammin' Lem" and "The Hatchetman" as far as power goes, but Gomez matches them in being underrated easily and makes a solid case in the power dept.

    Underrated? Not so sure, Matt. Godoy got a huge amount of press at that time and gave Joe Louis one of his more difficult fights. I think he got all the credit he deserved, but it's all a matter of perspective I guess :good

    Galento gets pretty underrated in these parts because he didn't look like an athlete and was dirty as hell.

    He still had a strong run and managed a respectable amount of knockout wins over several contenders, including a couple on Suzie's list.

    Rosenbloom was another with an amazing record. Just looked up Hank Hankinson's record and boy was it weird. He beat some really fine fighters Rosenbloom(2), a young Savold, Retzlaff, Godfrey, and lost to a host of guys I never heard of. His first 23 fights ended in KO's, he lost six of them, three in r1, two in r2 and one in round 3. At 6-4 he must have been the original Mr Chinny.
