The disparity between #1 and #2 is frightening. Pacquiao is 8-1-1 against guys on that list. Floyd is 3-3 - 3 wins, 3 ducks. Looks like he's well on his way to 3-4.
****, another mistake on my part. He should be at 15 of my list here at home, moving everyone down one spot and Taylor out. I will fix in the main post. Keith
Hatton is a media creation coz they wanted a white boy in the mix. Tszyu was well past his best when Hatton beat him and wasn't ever that great anyway. Calzaghe should be in the top 20, but not top 10. Lennox Lewis is one of the most overrated Heavyweights of all time. In 24 rounds with a well past his prime Holyfield, Lewis never managed to put Evander on the deck once. Tyson was an absolute shadow of his former self when Lewis fought him, and who knows what would have happened if the doctor didn't stop the fight with Vitali due to cuts. Vitali definitely deserves to be in the Top 20, and Wlad probably does too, and both ahead of Hatton(who I wouldn't even put in).
I don't think he was "well" past his best, and its not as if Holyfield was ever the easiest guy to knock down.
I don't like P4P lists... my reasoning behind it, is really because, as a heavyweight, you'd need to be like the next Ali to get a snip of the top 3. It's just not fair on the bigger boxers. But anyway, my P4P list of the last decade would be something like: 1. Pacq 2. Floyd 3. Marquez 4. Morales 5. Barrera 6. Cotto 7. Mosley 8. Paul Williams ... notice, all fighters I included are under midleweight. Truth is, the light divisions have been blessed with brilliant fighters while the heavier divisions less so.
What is with the Lennox Lewis Hatery, what has Trinidad done to deserve to be ranked higher than him? Lose to Winky Wright, Roy Jones, and Bernard Hopkins. That is it.
