I don't penalize him for dying young, I just don't give him extra credit for it.

It does make me laugh the way people criticise fighters, to the point of pure hate. I mean joe cal cops a lot of **** for instance, but could any of the haters do even 10 % of what he has done ????

Some people need to look at themselves before slagging off fighters and calling them bums or cowards. If it wasn't for these people there would be no esb, no big fight nights etc......

There are examples when some fighters desrve to be slated of course, i.e ridick bowe throwing the wbc belt away so not to fight lewis, or Mundine giving up his belt and going to 160 as he didnt want to rematch kessler.

Fighters get overated all the time that is part and parcel of boxing, the rabid over rating of lacy. This is happenning with pavlik as well, but don't hate on pavlik as its not the fighters fault the fan boys talk ****.

so anyway over rated to some extent by there fans

1.pavlik all though a good boxer has a way to go to prove he is great

2.wlad fans claiming he could beat ali :patsch and ko bowe in his prime who is next king kong :patsch

3.rocky marciano pains me to put him in but fans saying he would starch Lewis :bart

    4. ponce de leon :-((

    5. Amir Khan Horribly over rated in the brit press etc.... :-(

    6. Antonio Tarver no need for reasoning :yep

Not that any of these fighters are bums or anything there all good but not as great as some of there fans make them out to be.

Obviously i rate pav the man at 160 no doubt

As i rate wlad the man at hw

Jack Johnson is the most overrated fighter of all time. His footage makes him look like he's fighting stationary. His skill set and desire were laughable. He was the biggest stiff. I barely consider him a real fighter... mroe of an entertainer. It's kind of like how Lil' Jon, P-Diddy, Souja Boy, etc. are not MCs, they're entertainers.

If you think he was an all-time great fighter you are seriously having the wool pulled over your eyes. He was biggest charlatan/fraud/phony/stiff/ogre/no-talent-ass-clown.

:think Sorry Bro, But for me a new classifacation is needed for Johnson...
The brand new and coined "Era 2 era" style...

For his time, Johnson was Dempsey...
    Johnson was Joe louis...
    Johnson was Marciano...
    Johanson was Ali...
    Ect...

I think that too. I feel that his outside the ring behavior and charisma add to his self pronounced Greatest of all time title. Has anyone everseen when he got dropped by Cooper? Who knows how that would have played out and what role that would have played on the rest of his career.

    1. Ali - He is good but definitely not the Greatest.
