As long as you have Louis and Tyson as the top two you really can't go wrong. But man, this list looks damn near perfect. Maybe take out Ibeabuchi and replace him with Mike Weaver!?!?

Thanks Sangria. I thought about who to replace Ibeubuchi with. Weavers a good choice, Corrie Sanders popped in my head too

Yeah Sanders is a good choice. Jeffries maybe. Might have to expand this to 25 or 30.

    What about Ali?

Not even top 20? Few heavyweights stopped as many good men.

It all depends on the criteria used to define "greatest" when applied to punchers. If we are grading in terms of one punch KO power Ali shouldn't feature too highly.

But greatest is a rather loose description. Particularly when applied to something like punching.

"Greatest" can, and is often used to mean: "Remarkable" or "Outstanding", and in either of those descriptions of punching Ali rates right near the very top.

Boxing is entirely a punching and defending-against-punching sport and Ali excelled in both categories and was definitely in the elite class of boxers to ever pull a glove on.

Compliment people. Magnify their strengths. Not their weaknesses.

    Pretty fine list.
Only small queries really, Frazier was one handed as it applies to ko power, [ I think he's a little too high here,]so were Cooney Tua and Morrison.
Baer had decent power in his left but like Ruddock with his right it was used sparingly.

Johannson never dropped anyone with his left either.Others will probably re-arrange the names but essentially a good list.

Jeffries was a two handed puncher but a bit overated for power imo, he should probably be in a top 25/30 list imo.

Williams,Foster,Lyle are not there because of lack of "names" I take it?
