Nah, when I still had rankings I ranked Dempsey, Schmeling, Patterson and Tyson in the same tier between 12 and 15. I still see them beeing on the same level of lower class hw atgs.
Not quite there yet but not far behind. If he continues dominating and if his brother retires or even better iof he loses and Wlad beats the winner than he very well may overtake them. I think Wlad will get old before that happens though.
What kind of comparison is that anyway? You think Tyson was anywhere naer his best against Douglas? can't you just see that he didn't have the headmovement, speed, or condition that he had in the 80s?
It´s not a comparison at all. I just highlight the fact that even when there is no doubt about something it still might be wrong.
Okay... Fine.. but hypthetically thinking, Tyson is just in a higher class compared to those 3 men I think. I also think he would pretty much beat all 3 as well.
with all due respect to dempsey, schmeling and patterson, compared to tyson they're in the basement of heavyweight champs
You acutally think that they would beat Tyson.. Patterson gets blown away with his glass chin.. Schmelling is just at a huge disatvantage with the power and speed. I also think Dempsey would be outgunned, as Tyson was bigger and stronger then Dempsey, and a better combination puncher. In addition to this, Tyson holds strength and athletic advantages over all 3 too. Legacy wise, I also think that they don't compare.
