Not even putting Klitschko in the name was enough for anyone to look. Guess i should change title to something even more luring.
Good vid:good I cant say I agree with it 100% but good nontheless. Where is Dr Iron fist. And why is wlad lower than Holmes, Why is Holmes #3? And a couple of those guys would not last 2 rounds with the Gomezs and Harrisons of this era. I think to make such a list, one would have to transcend generational boundaries, allowing for hypothetical matchups. That said wlad, lewis, vitali, Tyson, Holy, Marciano, and Foreman would round out the top 7, followed by and Holmes, Frazier, Loius.
For those pressed for time, here is how the video runs down. I can't say I agree completely. 20 patterson 19 klitschko 18 schmeling 17 langford 16 walcott 15 tunney 14 charles 13 jeffries 12 holyfield 11 tyson 10 dempsey 9 liston 8 fraizer 7 johnson 6 lewis 5 foreman 4 marciano 3 holmes 2 louis 1 ali
Very good video. Don't agree with all of it but a very good look at the history of the best division in the sport. The one thing that sticks out to me about many of the guys in this video is that alot of them had very short reigns at the top. Most other weight divisions even down near the 20th spots you'd find guys that had reigns of several years. Not in the heavywieght division. They are a different bread when they are that big and powerful. They often burn brighter and fade quicker. Gotta love it!
Decent list. I find a couple of glaring omissions, but as hard as it is to agree with "P4P" or "All Time" lists, I think it's very good. My list (which I, obviously, find to be much better): 20. Holyfield 19. Schmeling 18. Langford 17. Patterson 16. Lewis 15. Tunney 14. Liston 13. Charles 12. Wills 11. Frazier 10. Tyson 9. Holmes 8. Jeffries 7. Sullivan 6. Foreman 5. Marciano 4. Dempsey 3. Johnson 2. Ali 1. Louis
atschatschatschatschPatterson over Holyfield??? Only 4 time champ..... Dont even care about rest of the list based on truly a glass chinned Patterson being above Holyfield. Andrey
