Saad and Galindez belong in the top ten. Disagree about Braxton.

    1. Ezzard Charles
    2. Archie Moore
    3. Sam Langford
    4. Michael Spinks
    5. Tommy Loughran
    6. Bob Foster
    7. Gene Tunney
    8. Harold Johnson
    9. Billy Conn
    10. Jimmy Bivens
    11. Maxie Rosenbloom
    12. Matthew Saad Muhammad
    13. Jack Delaney
    14. Victor Galindez
    15. Dwight Muhammad Qawi
    16. Jack Dillon
    17. John Henry Lewis
    18. Joey Maxim
    19. Virgil Hill
    20. Batting Levinsky

Quick Note: I don't include fighters who are currently active at the weight on the list, so that's why Jones isn't included. As of right now, I would more than likely place him anywhere from #8-#11, depending on my mood at the time.

What criteria do you use? What has DM done to deserve such a high ranking? Sure, he had a nice title reign, but his opponents were also poor, some old-timers perhaps didn“t have a long title reign or so, but beat a lot more and much better fighter...

It's all about criteria though isn't it?

Jones is a miracle. There is an argument that he would have a better chance of beating everyone else on that list than anyone else would...i'd be on the other side of that argument, actually, but if you're into head to head and see him as the best, why not have him at #1?
