Inspired by Robbi's post of favorites, I noticed a few others agreed with me that Lewis vs Holyfield I was one of the worst robberies in history.

What are your opinions on worst decisions in boxing history?

I would especially be interested in hearing opinions from those more fluent with pre-1980 boxing history.

    Thanks.

Basilio vs Saxton 1, was far worse of a robbery than Lewis Holyfiled imo.

Patterson Vs Ellis caused some outcry
LockRidge - Gomez - Rocky seemed very unlucky not to get the nod
Zarate Vs Pinter - Zarate always felt he did more then enough

USA Olympic Rep - Lt Midde Birth - Name R Jones
(no not Roy - But REGGIE ) Munich 72 Beat Russion Valeri Tregabov
all over he Ring and lost still lost, the booing continued into the following bouts, No Roy wasnt the first R Jones to suffer, this was equally scandelous (Alan Minter beat Tregabov then lost his own iffy Decision to Local boy and eventual gold medal winner Deiter Kottesch.

De La Hoya's losses to Trinidad and Mosley don't really apply. I think he narrowly won both but they weren't that terrible. There were some close rounds in the Trinidad fight (1, 4, 8) before DLH got tired and ran.

And the Mosley rematch was filled with close rounds.

    Sorry, the first fight.

Gatti was clear winner and I know 100% that some shady judge dealing went down with gov bodies and judges. 2 of them did as they were told, one didnt.

Johnny Saxton may have been mob controlled, but on film he was a very good fighter. they did not fix his outcomes

The first Saxton fight was one of the most one sided fights I ever saw. Carman was chasing Saxton, thowing tons of punchings, Saxton hardly fire back in the fight, it was a lot of holding and running on Saxton's part, with Basilio hitting in the clichings and chaseing him down. Most of the rounds belong to Basilio. It was not one of thsos close fights, It was up there with Lewis Holyfiled 1, AND Basilio was the champ. They not only robbed Carman in a one sided fight, but they stole his title in the process.
