he beat sasakul in hi sown backyard KO'ed ledgwaba on a two week notice demolished a prime barrera while moving up in weight to the point that barrera doesn't want to exercise his immediate rematch clause...
sasakul is easily top 10 thai fighters ever. and that says a lot to perhaps the third best boxing nation in asia and the best in amateur boxing in asia in the 1990s
When did even mention Barrera or Ledwaba? Did you even read my post at all, or just respond with the set-in ******* response to anyone who doesn't sucks his balls in their post?
He's borderline top 10, which has hardly a thing to do with what I said in the first place. He was giving Pacquiao a first class boxing lesson before he paid for his mistake of coasting early. Good for Pacquiao for landing the big blow, but the result in that bout was caused more Sasakul's carelessness than anything outstanding Pacquiao was doing.
Where's your response to me about Gaalaxy on your Henry Cooper thread?!?!?!? it's Arce-Carbajal all over again.
I think that the system of basing fighters rankings on resume is in a way heavily favoured towards the older generation of fighters. It would be impossible for any modern fighter to fight as many times as Greb did and so i think its unfair to say 'Greb has a better resume than Manny Pac' (I'm just using Pac as an example) whilst also not comparing their H2H skills because of the older fighters often primitive ( in many cases ) styles. If you look at Greb H2H in his era then he comes out well on top but I also feel that the resumes of modern fighters should be compared to the fighters of that time period. That being said I feel that technical skills have declined since the 80's and hit their peak in the 50's with guys like Willie Pep. In general rating guys who there is no footage of makes me uneasy, but i suppose you cant ignore a guy like Greb.
:good:good Excellent Post although i think the elite fighters of today could compete in any era, but for the most part i do agree that tech skills have declined since the 80s.
