I counted everyone. Boxing was a different game in the early 1900s. Think evolution. Those fighters couldn’t possibly defeat the fighters of modern eras who punched with combinations and threw triple jabs . With the exception of Jack Johnson who I might edit into list

it’s a head to head list

Louis weighed under 200lb in his two best performances vs Baer and vs Schmeling II

I think spinks should be higher, probably much higher

Fair enough. But he wouldn't be #1 because he also lost to Scheming.

Yes he would. Louis at his peak is the greatest head to head P4P fighter in history

    No one beats him

No fighter in history past present or future under 200lb defeats the Louis who fought Schmeling in 1938

But you said the only fights that count on this list are those under 200, and he was beaten under 200. This is not a pfp or a heavyweight list.

Under your rules, he was 32-1

After thinking about it some more, how come Ellis, Quarry and Johannsen rank over Jack Sharkey?
I'd swap out any of those or Folley for Bob Pastor and Billy Conn.

Remember to stretch if you want to join in sometime, don’t want to pull something.

Yeah I am still not quite sure what the OP is doing here but I was going to suggest Conn and Pastor is a good one. Ingo is way too high.

Louis has good wins under 200 like Baer, Schmelling, Godoy, etc
