Usyk would. Louis got schooled by a Light Heavyweight in sparring and vowed to never fight a Southpaw after that. Usyk would be a horrible stylistic match up for Louis with his movement, angles, Southpaw stance.
Conn great pick I’ll edit him in pastor loses to everyone on the list he’s not good enough Sharkey could be above those except ellis. Ellis won the WBA tournament in a much tougher era. Ellis might be underrated
Yeah I don’t give a shitt that he lost to a top 10 fighter on this list. He avenged that loss brutally in one round at his best no one below 200lb beats Joe Louis, especially in a trilogy
I apologize if a top 25 list is a bit too complex for you, perhaps I could make a special ed version that could captivate your imagination. Johansson knocked out Floyd Patterson and Eddie Machen. He had a devastating right hand, he was duplicitous in the manner in which he was able to hide his treacherous power from his opposition. He knocks out a lot of people on this list
So it's a head to head? You don't think Usyk? I couldn't seen him losing to Schmeling, or being knocked down by Braddock or Galento.
Thanks for chiming in Cojimar. It’s unbelievable the apocryphal drivel that some people post. They deliver it so vociferously it actually becomes believable to the insipiens.
OK. Well, even going back as far as the Huck fight, people believed that Usyk would beat Schmeling: https://www.boxingforum24.com/threads/id-pick-oleksander-usyk-to-beat-max-schmeling.593253/ I think that would be 100%, now. And I don't see Usyk, who took punches off Joshua and Fury, hitting the deck against Galento or Bradock, so...
You don’t have to be an *******. I asked you earlier are you talking about heavyweights under 200 pounds or heavys, cruisers and light heavys under 200 pounds. That would make a huge difference in how I approach this. If you’re not just talking heavys I’d consider Matthew Saad Muhammad. And Ingo was a clumsy galoot with an admittedly big punch which isn’t everything.
Did he? He beat Quarry for it and arguably lost to Patterson. Sharkey went through Wills, Godfrey and Loughran before his fights with Schmeling. Pastor has a significantly deeper record than Ellis, Quarry and Johansen. With wins over Toles, Thompson, Bivins, Lesnevitch, Franklin, Ramage, Ettore, Delaney, Scott and draws with Nova, Maurielo and Rosenbloom he did more than enough to rank in the top 20.
@SuzieQ49 Any luck trying to find where I said Marciano was scared of Valdez or that he loses to Patterson? Or are you ready to admit you lied?
