Hey guys, I'm new to the forum and just thought I'd get everyone's thoughts on who they see as the greatest 25 boxers in the history of the sport. I consider the modern sport of boxing to begin with the introduction of gloves towards the end of the 1800 so please do not include fighters from before the gloved era. I will compile my list (in no particular order) of the boxers I believe have been the most influential and impactful on the sport very soon. Please post your.
The obvious ones are Willy Pep and Ray Robinson, I can't see anyone not having them on list. Joe Louis being champ 11 years puts him on list in my opinion.
Maybe something like (no particular order): SNV, Chagaev, Haye, Ruiz, Holyfield, Robinson, Armstrong, Greb, Langford, Pep, Charles, Duran, Ali, Ray Leonard, Benny Leonard, Gans, Moore, Louis, Canzoneri, Ross, McLarnin, Walker, Griffith, Napoles, Whitaker, Chavez...something like that, anyway.
