Normally,ESPN Classic boxing can get tedious, but they've got it right this weekend.
Although I wish they'd stop showing Floyd decimating Gatti all the time.

They had Pryor v Arguello on earlier too. Holyfield v Bowe 1 later.

I enjoyed Pryor-Arguello II again today, even though I hate seeing Flaco lose.
In those days, the real celebrities were right at ringside.Did you see Jack Nicholson?

I don't think there's a big fight Jack hasn't been too, loves his boxing.

I can't remember which fight(s?) it was,but I remember seeing Stallone going nuts at ringside in a big fight.
Now it's mostly GBP or industry guys at ringside(or at least in the camera view side)

Yeah it all feels a bit sterile now. I miss the Superfights at Caesars Palace. I remember staying up til the early hours to watch the fights on ITV. The atmosphere was just magic, especially the Leonard fights. I just don't think it's the same anymore. Maybe I'm getting old!!

    Ah,those were the days.:eek:ld
I always think fondly of the old ITV broadcasts.Great fights midweek and even though it was the night after, you didn't have to go to a nuclear bunker to avoid finding out the result.
And there were other occasional gems when they showed full shows through the night(rare) and sometimes you'd have a whole Saturday afternoon devoted to a US card.
There's just something about them that makes me feel nostalgic.:-(
