    James Jeffries deserves a mention.

    Two other not so popular choices would be James Braddock and Barbados Joe Walcott. Not saying they are top 3, but Braddock took a lot of punishment throughout his career and was stopped just twice, once on cuts and once to Joe Louis.

    Walcott was stopped just 9 times in 165 fights. Now 9 might seem a lot, but in that number of fights it's not. Consider also a fair few were towards the end of his career, and a few after he quit through injuries. Also, he's a 5'1" welter fighting huge heavyweights.

    there are so many but from fights ive watched on tape and this is just imo but id say lamotta ezzard charles james toney just to name a few
