Saw this thread over on the General Forum and thought it might be a good one for just the Brits to discuss...and mock where appropriate :!: Have your list how you want, whether it be current or all time, or both as the case may be. Mine for Edinburgh is: 1. Ken Buchanan 2. Alex Arthur 3. Josh Taylor (would be in the current list, but the sky is the limit for Taylor so will pre-emptively include him in this!) Let's hear them!
Crolla Widen it out to Manchester as a whole and I could say Ricky Hatton Crolla Flanagan Could also add Ronnie Heffron
All Time Glasgow Scott Harrison, Benny Lynch, Jim Watt though my dad would kill me for adding his old pal Peter Keenan who he says is one of best ever boxers not to win a world title.
Currently the two best from my area would be shayne singleton (colne) and luke blackledge (accrington), could include scott quigg (bury) who's under 20 miles away.
My town is barely 100,000 big so this tough after the first one: 1: Alan Minter, who is quite some way ahead of 2: Micky Alldis, who is a mile ahead of 3: Arguably Ross Minter....
