I'm surprised that I'm not sure on this one. Sonny was built different and he had a very different jab, it was like a telephone pole and he put his full weight into it. Larry's was text book and he could throw it all night while Ali's flourished off his moving and was a points scoring round winner. Then you have Louis whose jab had more on it then Holmes and Tunney's skilled left hand. I'm going to give my top nod to Larry, after that I have to think on it.

Which is why the concept of pound-for-pound exists.

Yes, but a concept won't snap your neck.
Whereas Sonny Liston's jab might. :good

Willie Pastrano is in the top 3 easily. The jab was his principle weapon...fast and as accurate as a laser. Willie's lack of dedication keeps him out of contention as an all time great but his jab was stellar.

Ken Buchanan had a world class jab, as did Monzon and old timer Tommy Loughran, who ONLY had a jab and a left hook.

A better question would have been "three best jabs in each division".
