The Top 30 Heavyweights according to ludwig, as of 9/14. This is a performance based ranking, not potential or even h2h. Klitschko Pulev Povetkin Stiverne Fury Takam Chisora Jennings Glazkov Wilder Adamek Thompson Cunningham Chagaev Chambers Ortiz Mansour Arreola Perez Solis Ustinov Price Ruiz Jr. Browne Scott Hammer Teper Leapai Charr Boystov in that order. Looking forward to upcoming match-ups Klitshko/Pulev, Povetkin/Takam, Fury/Chisora, and Chagaev/Ortiz to help sort out the division and give it a different look for 2015.
Really the only guy who could give Klit a run for his money is Pulev. Stiverne has the power, but he is a guy who lost rounds to Ray Austin. Wilder is a fraud. Division looking thin at the top.
That would mean hè would beat any but 2 of them (Wlad and Pov or Pulev) while Joshua himself admitted he got a lot to Learn after sparring Wlad. So that's pretty unlikely.
edit : I thought it was historical. Otherwise, I did not assume one is interested about heavyweights ranked below top 10 of this moment. a quick guess of the current top 10: WK Pulev Povetkin Andy Ruiz Jr Fury Chisora Carlos Takam Stiverne Chagaev Oquendo Glazkov Mike Perez Bryant Jennings Adamek The historic was: Tony Tucker Oliver McCall Nicolay Valuev George Foreman James Smith Evander Holyfield David Tua James Douglas Vitali Klitschko Riddick Bowe Lennox Lewis Tim Witherspoon Ike Ibeabuchi Henry Akinwande Lamon Brewster Ross Puritty Corrie Sanders Wladimir Klitschko Jameel McCline Andrezj Golota Pinklon Thomas Tony Tubbs Ray Mercer Dominick Guinn Michael Grant Marion Wilson Mark Wills Mike White Dee Collier Mitchel Green
Agreed. It's astonishing to note that Boytsov maintained a number-7 ranking in the Ring Magazine's Annual Heavyweight Ratings, four-years-running (2009-2012 inc.).
