Yeah Ruiz Jr. is doing all the right things--taking care of good competition early on. But his conditioning is still pretty suspect. He'll be in the Top 20 before long if he keeps doing what he's been doing. It's true Perez has the potential to beat alot of the guys ranked ahead of him. But if he comes into fights weighing 240+ we'll never see that potential. Hopefully he'll find the right groove and displace Ortiz as the Cuban heavy to watch.
He has wins vrs. Thompson and Grant. Edged Perez on most cards. He has good stamina and workrate for his size and does well in the late rounds. I wouldn't say he's a proven contender but he's demonstrated no fear of being matched with the best. He's slotted to fight Povetkin in October. If he wins that he'll be in excellent position to challenge the winner of Klitschko-Pulev.
Glazkov way too high, the guy got beat by Mailk Scott who doesn't even make your list. Also Adamek much too high
