#35: Who doesn't love a tough mutha****er who goes around fighting everyone, losing to everyone but beating everyone and is essentially a fighter with about 30 Cinderella Man moments. #34: Douglas is charismatic, charming, witty and a very entertaining fighter with a complex story. The Tyson win is a great story, and fight, and really made me like him. When I dug deeper into the 80s HWs and Douglas' fights before Tyson, I really did come to enjoy his style, fights and personality. Plus, how awesome was he in Tokyo? #33: The Clutch.... another teak tough badass who went around fighting nothing but the best. He has the highest level of competition ever IMO, and reading about how he essentially willed himself to win vs two of the most freakishly brilliant fighters around that weight is incredible. Takes a very special man to beat Ike Williams and Willie Pep. #29: Who doesn't love Laguna? #4: Michael Watson is a fighter I hold very dear. He's the fighter's fighter. He was tough as nails, never feared a challenge, had a beast set of fundamentals and applied so much thought to his craft that he surpassed Benn and Eubank in many ways. He was physically quite a beast, but rather than go the route Benn did and become a monster, he decided to find tune what he had and became a different type of beast. What really makes me love him though, is that he never, ever quit. He stood up to a hellacious beatdown vs McCallum and never said die, then after the tragedy in the Eubank rematch, he forced himself back into shape over a long, and drawn out process before testing himself, and running a marathon. He also has am extremely captivating story before he started boxing too, which I encourage you and anyone to check out.

Yeah “favorites” was kind of a stretch for a bunch of mine, but since I like them more than other boxers, I guess it’s still an accurate description.
