Yea, I'm feeling list remorse. Whatever the hell that is... I imagine it's a lot like buyers remorse, which I experience all the time. I suck with these P4P lists and should just drop them for good. Can never make a list I'm ever satisfied with. I think if I'm ever going to do anything it's a HW H2H list. I've wanted to do that but have to established boundaries and rules for it. The HWs are in my element too.

I think Dempsey is better than Chavez (Not in legacy).

Where would you rank Napoles amongst Hearns, Hagler, and Monzon? In order (Not necessarily numbered).

    H2H P4P:

    Napoles
    Hearns
    Hagler
    Monzon

P4P including everything, at a guess:

    Hearns
    Napoles
    Hagler
    Monzon

Remember Jose was a Lightweight. This is him in his prime, with all the skills he had at 147, but very physically imposing (if a bit gung-ho).

    Great stuff, this is true.

Where do you rank Monzon strictly as a MW? I know you don't think much of him, but surely he had more physical tools than Hagler.

Updated the list a bit. Ross up, Tunney down, Napoles up, Monzon down.

I'm starting to like the list a bit more now.

On ability, I'd rate him below Robinson, Hagler, Hopkins. Don't know about Greb, though Ketchel might be trouble. On achievements, I'd rate him below Greb and Hagler.

Monzon isn't without a chance against Hagler in the way he is against Hopkins, say, but I'd still favour Hagler to win decisively. He's just the better fighter: more mobile, better defence and better jab and general toolbox. I think he'd dominate with heavy, accurate punching and probably finish him off around the tenth, maybe later. I'm not sure what you mean by physical tools. Hagler may be smaller, but he's not a midget MW like Napoles or Griffith.

That threw me off a little. While Hagler isn't Napoles, he is still sort of small in frame for MW standards...

Gotcha, remember though that the criteria is 70-30 basically. So there remains some order. You rank Monzon in the top 3 as far as MW go achievements wise, right?

Griffith was a shortish MW, but he wasn't an unnatural one in the way Napoles was.

How high Meast? Burley was brilliant. Even though he beat Moore, it's hard to rate him ahead. Moore had great success as an old LHW, and was a HW defeating many men 200+ pounds. I think his record over HWs 200+ pounds is like 22-1 by 21 wins coming by KO. I suppose Moore and Burley could bump Louis out, but Louis does damn well for himself in H2H matches as is. With his composite punching, I already have him beating Dempsey, Frazier, Wlad, Vitali, Holyfield, Liston more times than not. He also is a slight favorite over Foreman, and Marciano for me too. I only favor Tyson, Ali, Holmes, over him. The biggest tossup is Louis vs Lewis which I give Lewis a hair more of a chance. And that's all without P4P equation.

Well seen as your basing in on 70% skills and ability I just think he could do with being a couple of places higher, I really do think he was one of the most skilled fighters ever.

Like you said though, it's seems unfair on Louis and Moore to drop them anyway lower, all 3 of them have a good argument to swap places.

If 100% of your criteria were h2h you could rank Burley almost as high as you like. The horrible thing is Holman Williams can't ever be far behind him, and Lloyd Marshall either has to be ranked absolutely alongside him or above him. Hard.
