I dont care how any nit picking historians want to nit pick Tyson, this man was a dominant champion and a top 10 heavyweigt champ. I can only think of a few that "might" have beat him at his peak. To have him ranked 89 is way too low. Also Barrera at 102 is way low Barrera is in the top 60 easy. Also Joe fraizer at 114 is a bad one. Ill be back to pick this one apart.

Although i have to give the Tm credit its impossible to make a list this big without it being picked apart. For the most part he did his homework. Im just pointing out the big mistakes.

I give you credit for taking the time to compile a list of 400 but firstly that's way too many fighters to really keep a track of (unless you have nothing else to do in life) and secondly there's some really odd placings. This was just in the top 100 as I couldn't be arsed reading anything after that.

Hint: Calzaghe does not belong in the top 100 of any list. Mate, you're getting dog's abuse for where you've placed him and rightly so. The guy might be undefeated but he's not an ATG IMO - the 3 best fighters he beat were past their primes (and in Hopkins' case decades). I don't have the time to critique the rest of your Top 100 but the errors are glaring.

This list is useless, just somebody naming 400 fighters out of the 600 he may know and then not doing his best to put them in order. There are too many downright scandalous omissions to take this list seriously, and I won't even bother to spend much time addressing those on the list rated too high or too low. Just a few comments (and yes, I did a search for EVERY fighter not listed among the 400 in post #1 before commenting on their omission).

With some of the garbage on this list, esp. toward the end, but light-heavy champs Eddie Mustafa Muhammad (Gregory), Victor Galindez (2x a champ), and Marvin Johnson (2x a champ and more) don't even make the list?? Nor Tim Witherspoon, Greg Page, Michael Dokes, or Tony Tubbs (not great heavies, but all champs and so much better P4P than SO many fighters on this list).

NO AARON PRYOR?? NO JULIO CESAR CHAVEZ?? Are you high??? Oh, now I see . . . you misspelled them . . . gee, how tough would that have been to get right?

I'm afraid the list-maker just chose among those he'd heard of, or maybe those he just didn't forget, but didn't truly go through the all-timers at each weight and then rate them for himself. Too many exclusions.

As usual, Monzon and Salvador Sanchez are very over-rated (someone please tell me what great fighter Monzon EVER beat (not including way-old ones like Napoles and Griffith). Sanchez's career was cut way too short to put him as high as #26.

Tyson at #89 is not being given nearly the credit he deserves for a fabulous, dominant title reign, esp. compared with SO MANY that are ranked above him. Pernell Whitaker as high as #22 all time among all divisions ever?? Seriously?? Lennox F_king Lewis, that clumsy relic of a horrible, non-competitive era, is as good as #47?? Calzaghe #53, surely you jest! The initial poster HAS to be from the UK and under age 35. Honeyghan, Mark Johnson, and Bramble make this list??? Seriously? But not Mark Breland, who was far more skilled than all three? Corey Spinks, Milton McCrory, and Kennedy McKinney make this list . . . why?? . . . but not multi-weight titlist, the very skilled Michael Moorer?

Buddy F_king McGirt even makes this list-- and apparently was better than Carlos Palomino pound for pound? Why do Mamby and Pavlik make this list at all? Hamed ranks AS GOOD as #185? Why is he ANYWHERE on this list?

No Bob Satterfield? No Jerry Quarry? No Curtis Cokes?

And as for the pickings to place at the bottom, no Sean O'Grady? No Boom Boom Mancini?

George Benton, who is not on this list, knew more about boxing than most who are on it, and proved as much when he was a successful trainer.

Gee, now that I've read all 10 of the 10 pages, I see that this thread is almost entirely a long-running dispute between just TWO posters, one of whom is the thread-starter.

Too bad, I figured with 10 pages there must be a lot of posters involved . . . wrong.
