    I'd have it:

    Louis
    Bivins
    LaMotta*
    Gavilan*
    Buchanan*
    Arguello*
    Zarate
    Canto

The four asterisked are the four closest in my opinion.

Saddler winning at 126 is completely feasible. Although I think it's an utter mismatch at 130.

Can either of you explain Ortiz over Zarate? I'm not as big on Zarate as others are, but Ortiz seems to be a very good match up for him, stylistically.

Ortiz was a complete fighter. Could box and bang and was durable. Could fight inside well. He’d have a good shot but yeah, Zárate’s use of distance, economic power punches would be a tall order. Ortiz would have to taste something hurtful to enforce his fight for the most part.

    let's start at the bottom

    Ortiz over Zarate

    Saddler over Arguello

    Williams over Buchanon

    Napoles over the Kid

Cant see the busy but light hitting Lamotta beating someone who knocked out Briscoe and was more consistent performer

    Galindez over Bivins

Foreman ko Louis. just too awesome. Hell, Billy Conn got him groggy and half a dozen other opponents had him on the canvas

Never saw Canto or the other guy. sorry

    Louis vs Foreman
Foreman couldn't take those combinations for rounds upon rounds. Joe hit too hard, too often, he put his punches together magnificently, and was just too good overall.

when you guys are ready to get serious and talk about boxing I’ll be here. In the meantime I hope you have fun with your make believe fighters
