Went through all of HBOs Legendary Nights series and wondered why there weren't more shows following the same template...

Good call... I have always wondered the same thing. I was always surprised they never made one on Duran/Leonard with 'no mas' being the focal point. If you had to pick one night/fight to see added to that particular series, which would it be?

I really want them to do another Legendary Nights series when the 10 year-anniversary of those shows run around.

    Could do:
    Hopkins/Taylor fights
    Hopkins/Pascal 2
    Pac man/Marquez
    Floyd/Hatton

    Just a few ideas.

Assault in the ring is a good one. Facing Ali is good too,

  6. For the next legendary nights they should do

    Gatti/ward
    Roy Jones/ Tarver
    Mosley/magarito
    Hopkins/trinidad.

Beyond the glory: Hopkins, SRL, Foreman and others.

Also ESPN have "In this corner" which at only ten mins long but cover Pep, Duran, Robinson, Armstrong etc

They should do more episodes, only this time without the myths and exaggerations which pollute boxing forums.

I'd like to see episodes on older fights. More interesting to me to see an episode on a fight from the 70s and 80s than to relive a fight from a couple years ago.

    Gatti/ward
    Roy Jones/ Tarver
    Mosley/magarito
    Hopkins/trinidad

Are very very solid choices! Wow. I'd even suggest:

    Pac/Oscar
    Klitch/Lewis
Castillo/Corrales (best fight I've ever seen period)
Mario Lopez/ Zack Morris as a bonus feature

Nor was Lopez vs Morris. But possibly HBO could be persuaded to by the rights.

Sugar Ray Robinson: Bright Lights & Dark Shadows of a Champion is one of the best boxing documentaries I've seen.

Ring of Fire & After the Last Round are two very good, although depressing, boxing docs.
