Whats your reasons for the boxers on that list being the 5 best Brits?

    Ted Lewis
    Jack Berg
    Lennox Lewis
    Ken Buchanan
    Jim Driscoll

In no particular order. Honorary mentions must be given to -

    Joe Calzaghe
    Lloyd Honeyghan
    Randy Turpin

And a few more whom I'll no doubt think of later.

It's not a good list at all in my opinion.

    Yours?

I grew up in the 80,s watching Honeyghan, bruno, Graham, Marsch etc....
So i can,t judge all those UK boxers before 1982 .
Will post my top 5 later okay?

Well since the thread is on 'best' and not 'greatest' then I suppose there's no harm in posting the best you watched growing up if that's how you want to go about it.

I presume from the lists that we are only including gloved boxers.

If you include bareknuckle boxers, then a whole universe of options opens up.

I'm pretty certain the 1st considers himself British Zimbabwean and the 2nd considers himself British Nigerian.

Great, great point, Janitor. Nicely done. There are many great British fighters from the bareknuckle era. Only problem though, is do we have enough proof on film?
