To be honest, I don't understand this post. Having written that, whatever you are trying to say here, none of that changes the fact that Vasquez was 37 and was stopped a couple of times before fighting Hamed, by fellows that I am sure you don't rate as high as Hamed. Here are the 2: 38- 12 Antonio Avelar stopped 25 year old Vasquez at 118 and Israel Contreras stopped 29 year old Vasquez just before Vasquez won the 122 title. And just for the record, I never brought up Morales fighting Zaragoza. Dunno why you mentioned it.

Surprised you would have Honeyghan over Conteh. Personally, I rate John pretty damn highly.

    Wins over:
    Mushy Callahan
    Andre Routis
    Billy Petrolle
    Tippy Larkin
    Aren't worth commenting on?
    Callahan a welterweight beat:
    Pinky Mitchell
    Jimmy Goodrichx2
    Allie Stolz
    Ace Hudkins

    Larkin a welterweight beat:
    Billy Graham
    Willie Joycex2
    Allie Stolz
    Lulu Constantino
    Freddie Red Cochrane x3

    Petrolle a welterweight beat:
    Stan Loayzax2
    Sammy Fuller
    Bep Van Klaveren
    Bat Battalino x2
    King Tut x4
    Jimmy McLarnin
    Tony Canzoneri
    Jimmy Goodrich
    Ray Miller
    Bruce Flowers

In their second fight it was Welsh who out classed Leonard.
    • Welsh "met his recent conqueror, Benny Leonard, in a ten-round bout and outpointed him as decisively as Leonard handed it to him a few months ago". (Ed Curley)
    • "Excepting one round, the third, Welsh won all the way". (United Press)

    Wolgast was a lightweight.
Chocolate won the NBA Super feather weight title and defended it 4 times.
Klompton like me ,couldn't care less what Papp did as an amateur, as a pro the best he managed was to become European middleweight champion.
What year was Papp the number one contender? Number 4 looks the highest ranking he ever attained.
    Thanks for the entertainment.

Wolgast was a lightweight. World Champion1910-1912

Canzoneri was 3 division Worlds champion and held the World lightweight title twice1930-33 &1935-36

Chocolate won the NBA Super feather weight title and defended it 4 times.

He was faded when he lost to Berg in1932 ?

Chocolate would continue to fight for a further 6 years, retiring in1938 during those years he had 70 more fights, won a world's title and lost just 5 fights! What utter nonsense from you!

You're a complete idiot and will remain so, because you are incapable of admitting you are wrong and learning when you are corrected
    Thanks for the entertainment.

1.You dismissed Berg's victories over Chocolate and Canzoneri saying they were career featherweights that Chocolate was faded.

I showed you that Chocolate had a further 70 fights over the following, losing only 5 and winning a worlds title in the process !
2.You said Chocolate was a feather weight so super feather weight Berg beating him doesn't count.
I showed you Chocolate won the super featherweight title and defended it 4 times!
3.You said the Super Featherweight title," wasn't an official title".
It was an official title and recognized as such by all the existing boxing organizations and also the Ring magazine

    4.You said Canzoneri was a a featherweight.
I showed you he was lightweight championTWICE!
You say wins over those named below ,"aren't worth discussing"
    Mushy Callahan
    Tippy Larkin
    Billy Petrolle

This remark encapsules your total ignorance of the sport of boxing in one sentence.
I gave their major wins which demonstrates just how good they were.
5.You excused earlier wins by Berg saying they were feathers ,yet wins over world class welterweights don't mean much either!
Rather than address facts that totally contradict your addled opinion ,you disappear up your own a*se.
    You are a M***N!

    '>' means greater than mate.

on film papp does look like he's boxed before, but i never got why people go so crazy for guys like him and cerdan who settled for hometown money, fought almost exclusivley euro level opponents, and never put a decent (pro) resume together.

No worries it gave me an opportunity to emphasise the difference in quality of their scalps.

it's irrelevant. you are arguing he is better/greater than people who did things based on him doing lesser things and not trying to do more.
