Oh. I thought that smiley thing was supposed to be someone rubbing their head in "oh no, did he really just say that" style. Kind of like this one as it happens...atsch Apologies.
Just in case you guys missed it....Houston's own Reggie Johnson defeated Julio Gonzales this past weekend. Tremedous chin! I think Baldo has a better chin at 154 than Mayorga and Abraham already fought with a broken jaw, Raul Marquez and Yori Boy have good solid chins too.
1. Calzaghe 2. Froch 3. Kessler 4. Andrade 5. Bute Kinda hard on Lacy, but if its current I've got a feeling his chin might be somewhat affected... Have to factor in how much they actually get it. Joe has been in with the bigger punchers, and certainly the best competition. Froch has zero defence, and ate a Robin Reid haymaker and didn't even flinch, which puts him slightly above Kessler because of his tight guard Andrade is a human punching bag, his chin is granite. Could make a case for him being higher. Bute looked untroubled by Berrio, but then again he completely dominated Not too many glass jaws in this division, so Taylor better watch out, no easy nights here
Andre Thysse. I think he was down against Diaconu, but he has taken some hard beatings without going down. The Kessler stoppage was BS.

all this is stupid...a strong chin to me means u can sponge up punishment......:-( **** who has the best chin....who has the best "smarts":good
Start another thread. :good Chins are important in boxing, because no matter how good you are, eventually you will come across a hard puncher. If your chin is less than very good, he'd stop you, even though he is limited and doesn't have many smarts.
A chin is one of the most important things in boxing. You can have all the "smarts" in the world, but once somebody lands a flush shot you don't see coming, if you don't have a good chin, you're going down.
Mostly a good list, but I'll disagree on Tomasz Adamek, Miguel Cotto and Robert Guererro. Those three jumped out at me at least. Not sure Kameda's chin has been all that tested either. Also, he's not a worldbeater by any means, but I'd put Sherman Williams in the top 5 for HWs, probably over Briggs (whose chin isn't that great really, although it's gotten much better since he bulked out).
