Could be, the Caribeean tank only lost by TKO to Robert Davis in 1999. I also think that probably Ruslan Chagaev has a very good chin and Shannon lost a TKO in 3 to Darrol Wilson and was dropped too many times by Lewis and even McCline. Tomas Adamek only lost to Bad Chad and fought bloody and through punches against him and Briggs, I do believe he has a sturdy chin. Guerrero has a decision loss to Gamaliael Diaz and a ND (NC) after 12 against Orlando Salido and a technical draw agains Julian Rodriguez for hitting on the break - I don't think he has ever been dropped or in serious trouble... Miguel Cotto was knockdown only once ( and more pushed than anything else ) against Torres - he has been hurt against Torres, Chop Chop and Judah of course but has sheer willpower and a solid chin, bad defense tho.

i dont get the choice of Pavlik on peoples lists. he can be rocked, and yeah, hes gotten up, but i think most agree if Taylor had been a little smarter in his finish he could have stopped him in the first fight, then it wouldnt even be an issue. IMO hes a guy that could get stopped in a fight.

He looked for the fights and took all mighty shots from Miranda and Taylor. I think that's enough proof that he could have shaken it off - means that he is tested and that he has a solid chin. He won't be easily stopped in a fight just because he is open to some counter shots cause the danger of getting stopped is shared with the man he's facing.

surely mayweather has to have the best chin in 147? especially over cotto? mayweather rarely (does happen but not often) gets injured, only been down once - when he smashed his hand in and took a slight knee to gain a few seconds to get used to the pain.. although his defence is that good its hard to say how good his chin is - i think we should give him more credit - he's really from 130 and took shots from one of the harder hitters at 154, and tbh i dont think i saw floyd hurt really in that fight either...

my point was he didnt take all of taylors shots well. he went down, and if taylor would have landed cleanly, it would have been done, and possibly even other refs would have stopped it anyways. if taylor was a better finisher, it would have been over, i dont think he can shake off everyones hits, because he was all over the place the entire 2nd round. recuperative abilities are different then having a good chin also.

Generally a good list, but I can't see why you picked Sebastian Sylvester? He got knocked out by Asikainen and badly shaken in the rematch.

Also Toney has to be among the 5 HWs with the best chin

Pac's 2 KO losses were body punches. He has never been KO'd by a punch in his chin his entire career.

I like Cotto... but I disagree with you on his chin. He has been shaken a couple of times by people who aren't exactly bangers. And he was on ***** street once by a boxer who was a banger.

The Middleweight Division is very weak

Pavlik is a good champ,AA looks very strong but then what?

Miranda is at 168 now with JT likely to follow
Sturm is a decent boxer who has yet to improve himself
Duddy,Mora,Sylvester,Orneales and the rest are all average at best

There are a few exciting prospects around the corner like Lee,Green,Quillan and Golovkin but right now there are few viable contenders.
