Barrios was TKoed in the 12th by Acelino and lost a split decision to Juan Guzaman - there's nothing special there. Vazquez has a great chin, just that he gets cut easily or gets gis nose broken whereas Rafael clearly gets staggered and id dropped. Pacquiao has not me the canvas for a long time and perhaps is the most resilient pressure fighter in the business, cannot agree with.
But Taylor landed and landed on both sides of the head, maybe didn't use uppercuts and body shots, but being Taylor so heavy-handed and muscular, that's another reason for Pavlik's solid chin - he spent two full minutes eating leather and was punching back at the end of the round. I don't think he was all ova the place since he stood in front of JT but Jermain punched him behind/side of the head and he went in that direction, held, shook it off and pushed back Jermain, I also feel recuperative abilities has to do with you chin and heart - Kelly Pavlik and Miguel Cotto to mention two cases. Anybody can get hurt but the ones who shake it off should be the ones who refuse to go down or get beaten - has to do with chin and desire to win.
I think that is fair to say - Sylvester has been kaoed in his professional debut and later to Asikainen (TKO 8 ) despite having reverted that result, but he has shown the kind of toughness and commitment that made me think about him. James Toney has a very solid and strong chin but it's more about his defense and slippery style that avoid him getting tagged, but he has never really been seriously hurt. Once, I saw him down against Reggie Johnson, out of balance againt Roy and very badly cut againt Tim Littles, he was the one to hurt Jirov and stepped up against Holyfield, Rahman, Ruiz and still wasn't hurt, even against Samuel Peter... I think it would be unfair not to say that he has one of the best 5 chins in the Division, good call.
