I'm pretty sure I've done this thread before but I'm so fascinated by the subject that I'm bringing it up, yet again. This time, after you've comprised your list of who you consider to be have been among the greatest combination punchers to ever live, accompany the name of the fighter with the fight that you think best demonstrates their composite punching. For example, if I was to list Orlando Canizales among my five, then I'd probably recommend you all to go watch his first fight with Kelvin Seabrooks. Some dynamite punching to body and head in that one, particularly through the opening five rounds. I probably didn't need to give you an example. Never mind. Discuss. Who do you consider to be among the top 5 most effective combination punchers of all time? :good
Ricardo Lopez (Preecha), Mike Tyson (Trevor Berbick), Joe Louis(Max Baer), Sugar Ray Robinson (Jake LaMotta VI), Carlos Zarate (Rodolfo Martinez).
Interesting pick on the end there. What fight do you think best demonstrates Zarate's combination punching? I'm confident I could track down the fight in question.
Fighting Harada could throw a mean combination. Although it was more of a relentless two fisted burst of activity. Jofre also put his shots together really well.
Agreed. A lot of the time Harada seemed to be flurrying, but I thought he picked out some beautiful body and head combination's in the first Jofre fight.
