How good was brit Johnny Nelson? He’s got a lot of title defences but also more losses than just about everyone mentioned in this thread combined together.
Haye ruined him. He was never the same again after the beating Haye gave him. Quite a lot of people thought that Enzo had a good chance going into that match.
1) Johnny Neslon 2) Johnny Nelson 3) Johnny Nelson 4) Johnny Nelson 5) Johnny Nelson 6) Rocky Marciano
No, he simply exposed him on a world stage. Two rounds isn't a beating and doesn't ruin a fighter. Long, prolonged wars do, something which Enzo (mercifully) will never be cut out for.
The CW division has been very good lately. Top talents meeting each other. What more can a fan ask for.
Another guy in the JC Gomez no love for in this division category, was Erdei. I know he was not in the division long, but I was thinking the guy could have had some nice success there. Kind of like Toney in a way--just not many fights in the division. But I always liked Erdei and think his boxing skills could have suited him well. But maybe the bigger guys like a Gomez and that height advantage would have been too much. What do you think? I liked his work as a cruiser and he was neveran easy night's work for anyone. And the guy could box and sure knew how to win fights.
yep. But the guy could box. What a really really good boxer. It's just that the boxer types are just not loved & often times more appreciated when their career is over. But he had some nice legs and could punch effectively while moving those feet. Kept those hands up. Really a tough opponent to look good against. Part of the who needs this guy type opponent. This guy came a whisker away from being undefeated when he retired. But I thought his mobility and boxing tools might transfer up to cruiser where the fighters around at the time were a little stationary and a little static. That is the kind of window he would need. So often we see the bigger guys not looking good trying to catch the smaller quicker guy. I thought Erdei had a decent to good chance. Obviously always decision wins and the only way he stops anyone would be via cuts/swelling.
What is so funny, that's a solid list, i don't agree with them all in that order, but still a solid list. and your comment is very useless.
Evander Holyfield - Evander beats the rest, but I think Usyk makes it closer than expected. Usyk Oleksandr - Usyk and Gomez are pretty close in my opinion, I think on any given night, either could win, 5-5 in 10 bouts. Juan Carlos Gomez Vassily Jirov Orlin Norris and about 5 guys at least that are right there with Norris. Nelson< Deleon, O'neil.
