    Willie Pep had his last ever fight in 1966, who in your opinion are the top five defensive fighters to emerge since he hung them up?

    And are any of those five better defensively than Pep was at his best?

    I don´t think I would make a strong case......but perhaps Locche and Whitaker were just as great as Pep......
    But again, I wouldn´t make a strong case for that....

    Not necessarily better, since their styles were all so unique, they all represent different prisms of that thing called Defensive Artistry.

    The first one that came into my head instantly was Pernell Whitaker and I also think you'd be hard pressed to find a better defensive boxer than Floyd Mayweather at work at the minute (and have got the flu) so can't quite think at the minute but will maybe drop some more names in a bit
