derry matthews from liverpool is the dirtiest fighter ive ever fought as a pro im not kidding he thumbed me constantly in the eye ,dived in using his head, deliberately kept treading on my toes, throwing elbows, rabbit punching HARD! you name it thats why it was my last fight and i got retired at the end of the 6th i was fighting the referee and matthews.
How can people put Hatton in there? Especialy when there is no Bika or Cotto there? I think they're more dirty fighters.
You fought Derry? I always watch him (because he is from Liverpool), but you are right he is dirty, I remember he butted his opponent, then kept trying to tear the cut open, with his forehand, head, elbow, shoulder or just scraping against the cut. Although he is undoubtedly talented.
yeah i had some bad luck go my way especially in the dazzo williams fight , dazzo went on to be the british champ but after 10 rounds the ref gave it 2 him 96-95 i think 1 point in it! i was robbed man even dazzos corner said it at least was a draw. hopkins and sonny liston are or were dirty.
I don't know really enough about the history of boxing to compile an all time list. There was some evil MFers back in the day like Archie Moore who knew how to use his head, elbows, knees, and every part of his body to hit you. Currently though here's my list 1. Sam Peter 2. Teddy Reid 3. Andrew Golota 4. Joel Casamayor 5. Tito Trinidad-because he loaded his gloves for most of his career
Then, how come he was never penalised for it ? - As far as I can remember, he only hit Michael Dokes low in their first round so how come he is a top 5 dirty fighter?... Anyone who speaks about Holyfield as a dirty fighter or that he should not be given a license to fight is partially a frustrated Tyson fan in my book... 1. Max Baer 2. Gene Fullmer 3. Jorge Luis Gonzales 4. Andrew Golota 5. Jose Luis Castillo
its pretty funny someone commented on zab's low blow but not the man who hit him low twice and others when he was in trouble.
