    and days later look at all those replies!! hahaha for **** sakes a new thread on Mayweather/Pac that's already been done to death or another Klitschko vs the 70's thread gets 20 pages and this....2 pages hahaha shows where the majority of the general is really at....****ing clownshoes! Not one ******* responding in this thread.

    not true, lance uttercunts a ****** and he was alive before 1960..... John Garfield is no ****** but he might also have been around pre 1960....same with Ted Sares.

    Mine and others' lists are definitely big on the heavyweights for this era. These guys would all appear on my list of 20 favorite ever. It would look like: 1 for pre-1900 for the great John L., the above 9 for 1900-60, and from 60-12 would fill the other half of my top 20 (Monzon, Hearns, Ricardo Lopez, Mayweather Jr, Paulie, etc.).

    I've never seen any of these guys fight, so this is all based on nothing.

    ... actually that's not true. I think I saw a black and white youtube of Jimmy Wilde knock someone out once. Also, I saw Raging Bull, so I definitely know what's up with pre-1960 boxers.

    I'm a big fan of Schmelling too! And I like Carnera as well, sad story but dude came from nothing in the middle of nowhere as part of circus act to be the heavyweight champion and he was a lot better than he's given credit for nowadays.
