Right. What do you mean by "looked"? What I guess i'm saying is, Tyson is always going to look better than most of the fighters he's compared to. He puts punches together very very well and is hard to tag, has speed, power. But can you see his heart on film? Can you see his mental fragility (if you consider he had it)? Can you see his generalship when under pressure? Not in the fights he looks best...I dunno, i find the idea strange.
I don't have the energy or time to do it division-by-division, I'll just give you my rather unoriginal off the top of my head overall top 5: 1.Robinson 2.Duran 3.R Leonard 4.Whitaker 5.Pep
Can't be bothered to do all the weights too late. Gomez looked sublime against Davila, punch perfect. Joe Louis always astounds me.
Not quite, but he's one of the few fighters to literally make my jaw drop when I watch him. 'Goes through styles' is so true of him. You've probably seen it Mante, but even if it's only of small interest, check out my profile: Chang vs Zapata poster, from an old Ring Mag.
For heavyweight, clearly John L. Sullivan himself. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tIfcYJpUig0[/ame] Check out those feints.
